Weekends are Meant for Exploring
Uptown Oakland is probably my favorite place for a fun night out. It's close to home and has so much to offer -- stand-up comedy, my favorite ramen spot, snazzy cocktails, and live music. Whatever you want, Uptown Oakland has got. So it was kind of a no-brainer to spend my Saturday afternoon mozying about the city's sunny sidewalks. We ended up enjoying pizza, hard cider, beer, and a live band at Drake's Dealership. You're probably thinking, "wait do they sell cars or something?". Nope! But they do offer 32 beers on tap, delicious food, and an outdoor beer garden fit with fire pits, laid-back seating, and the most adorable puppies ever. After Drake's, we headed over to a bubble tea spot on Franklin Street. I ordered grapefruit infused green tea with dragon fruit toppings. It was SO good. Peep the mostly consumed cup of tea below. This place is delish! If you ever have the chance to stroll through the city, do it. Your taste buds will thank you.
